Moorpark College’s dance department will be taking the stage for their biannual dance performance. After months of rehearsals and choreographing the dance department will present “Motion Flux”.
Dances of all styles, such as ballet, hip hop, tap, modern, and jazz, will be seen on stage. Special guest performances from outside of Moorpark College will also be showing their stuff at this year’s Motion Flux.
Nordhoff High School will be joining the Moorpark College students on stage, due to two choreographers working at the school, as well as a special never before seen video presentation from Moorpark College’s Instructor Wendi Baity and her production company “2 Rebels and a Gun”.
“Everyone is more emotionally invested, the pieces are very deep,” said Jessica Gonzales. Gonzales has been dancing at Moorpark College for three years. “All of our choreographers have worked really hard on expressing something important within each and every one of their pieces this time, which allows the audience to really connect.”
Motion Flux spins into action this Thursday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. and will continue Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 with a Sunday matinee performance, April 28 at 2 p.m.
