From Friends, Frasier, to Breaking Bad, the list of all TV series’ goes on and on. Like all great things’, they all have to end at some point. As “How I Met Your Mother” airs its two part series finale, we look back at some other great shows that left the viewers satisfied and disappointed.

Spoiler alert!!! You have been warned.

The series finale is one of the most unforgettable and memorable of any TV series, whether they made us laugh, cry or made us wonder why. It also ties up loose ends and answers questions that viewers and fans have been wondering about since their show aired.

“When Friends was on the air, my family and I would sit down and tune in, and wonder what would happen to the main characters of the show,” says Yossi Flores. “It was very sad when it was over now we don’t know what else to watch.”

“Everybody loves Raymond has impacted my life because it shows that not every family is normal, and that is a true statement in real life,” says child development major, Kate Cleveland.

Since the show has aired on CBS, How I Met Your Mother has had moments that made us laugh, cry, and some memorable catchphrases. The show has been on CBS since the fall of 2005 and is scheduled to end on March 31st 2014.

“It’s just going to be sad when the show is going to end,” says Josh Kraner a fellow fan of the show. “Monday nights are not going to be the same.”

How I Met Your Mother was such a hit during its nine – year run, and it is going to be very sad and tear-jerking when fans are going to tune in at the end of the month. More interestingly is though, this finale does not only affects its’ audience but also its’ cast.

Other notable finales that also had the same impact were the finales of Friends and Frasier in the summer of 2004.

While the viewers can still watch some of these memorable shows on providers like Netflix or Amazon instant video, one thing is certain – when viewers watch the final episode of the series, it will be hard to say goodbye.
