Mary Altshuller is the Student Voice's long-serving copy editor. This is her fourth semester on the newspaper staff, where she has also worked as a reporter and Arts & Entertainment editor. She loves to write and hopes to improve her photography skills. In addition to the Student Voice, she also helps a local senior citizens organization with their newsletter.

The Warsaw Ghetto Memorial/Memorial to the Six Million, created by artist Bernard Zakheim, is located at the Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Hollywood. It portrays three dimensional figures rendered in burnt and tortured wood to depict differences among Holocaust victims. Six heroic figures are set among cement slabs bearing the names of the most infamous of the Nazi death camps.
