Ham has been dancing since she was eight years old and wanted to pursue her career in dance by providing private lessons for adults as well as kids ages five and up. She is currently studying dance with the MC Dance Department.
Moorpark College’s very own Dance Faculty, Beth Megill, artistically directed and choreographed her company, Megill & Company’s (MeCo), second socially distanced performance. On Saturday March 20 and Sunday March 21, MeCo presented Meet me in the Field.
In the spring semester of 2020, Moorpark College's Dance Club stopped meetings and stayed inactive even when all classes transitioned online. The revival happened when Hannah Rios, club president, organized for meetings to happen again and recruited people into the club.
On Friday, Dec. 4, the Moorpark College dance department live streamed its very first virtual dance performance, the Dance for Camera Project. This hour production was immediately followed by a Q&A with all the dancers, staff and student choreographers. The Dance for Camera webinar was live streamed over both Zoom and YouTube.
