America’s Teaching Zoo hosted their 31st annual Spring Spectacular, “Zoo Done It?” on March 21. The students of the Exotic Animal Training and Management program all worked together to create an entertaining show for friends and families to come watch.

America’s Teaching Zoo continues to thrive one month after reopening with 8 new animals

America’s Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College reigned in the new year with many new additions, including eight new animals and the reopening of the zoo. The zoo closed in December due to the increase in COVID-19 cases. Recently, the zoo was cleared to open back up to the public.

America’s Teaching Zoo reopens and celebrates Ira the lion’s seventh birthday

With COVID-19 cases slowly going down, the Exotic Animal Training and Management program officially reopened America’s Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College on Feb. 6, the same day as the seventh birthday of Ira the lion.

EATM hosts a successful ‘Spirit of America’s Teaching Zoo’ virtual fundraiser in place of ‘Snow Days’

America’s Teaching Zoo celebrates Halloween with Boo at the Zoo event

This past Saturday, Oct. 31 and Sunday, Nov. 1, the America's Teaching Zoo of Moorpark College hosted their annual Halloween event, Boo at the Zoo. After last year's cancellation due to the fires, the zoo was pleased to be able to host the event in person this year.
