Moorpark College students react to future ban on the sale of gas powered vehicles

A climate-change related executive order was issued by California Gov. Gavin Newsom in legislation published on Sept. 23, 2020. The order states that by 2035, all new cars and passenger trucks sold in-state must be zero-emission vehicles, also referred to as ZEV's.

Ventura County to lift mask mandate following decreasing COVID-19 cases

On Feb. 7, Calif. Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the mask mandate put in place for the state would be lifted on Feb. 16 following a recent drop in COVID-19 cases after a winter battle with Omicron.

3.8 Magnitude Earthquake hits Ventura County

As reported by the United States Geological Survey, a magnitude 3.8 earthquake took place around 4:25 p.m. six miles NorthWest of Santa Paula on Feb. 10. The earthquake had a depth of 14 miles.
