The city discussed plans to open their first time shelter in Thousand Oaks at the Quality Inn and Suites. The board collaborated with local developers, property owners and operators to help find an ideal location for the shelter.
Ventura County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for Thousand Oaks transient Robert Burn, who is suspected of lighting two other transients on fire while they were inside a tent.
