Full-time faculty member of the CNSE Department is Edmond Garcia. He’s excited and passionate about the upcoming virtualization course.

“Virtualization is one of the key strategies enabling cloud computing which is widely used by most large companies worldwide,” Garcia said.

VMware Corporation is one of the world’s leaders in this widespread technology.

“Many employers have been asking our students during job interviews what their exposure to Virtualization has been [through] their college training,” Garcia said.

Therefore, the Department has decided to offer this course in order to strengthen [CNSE] programs viability in helping students with employment.

“We are just as excited as students because this is state-of-the-art technology and it is changing the computing landscape in so many positive ways,” Garcia said.

Garcia also predicts the positive benefits Virtualization technology will offer for the medical community in the future.

CNSE Department will provide training for students using VMWAre’sESXi platform, which is used by organizations to provide cloud computing systems in CNSE M67.

Both CJ M09 and CNSE M67 will be offered in the upcoming Fall 2014 semester.
