Today, Moorpark College is hosting its 25th annual Multicultural Day to bring cultures from around the world to campus.

Students can either go to presentations around campus, listen to live performances in the quad, shop at exotic vendors or eat ethnic foods from food trucks.

Teachers are encouraged to release their students for an alternative day of learning, said Multicultural Day Committee member Sally Ponce-O’Rourke.

“We hope that [teachers] will assign students to very specific venues,” said Ponce-O’Rouke.
