Tickets for each of the 12 performances of “Hairspray” are selling rapidly.
Tickets are priced between $8 and $12, VIP tickets are also available for $50. John Loprieno, interim dean of performing arts, is impressed at how quickly tickets have been selling compared to past performances.
“It’s surprising how well tickets have sold and I encourage people to come,” said Loprieno. “When you buy tickets, it’s assigned seating, so you get to pick your spot.”
The students and faculty have been working tirelessly to put on and promote “Hairspray,” said Loprieno. Between having a reserved seat, tickets being inexpensive, and showings taking place during the day, night, weekends and weekdays, there is no excuse not to go.
The musical begins Thursday, March 3 at 8 p.m and runs through Sunday, March 20 at 2 p.m.
