This has been an incredible season for our Lady Raiders who have been playing their hearts out each and every game.
Despite being a fairly young team they have proved they can do just about anything they set their minds to as they finished off the season with an overall record 28-8.
This team has seen immense success largely due to the chemistry they share on and off the field. Freshman Jazmin Macias said the bond they all share goes beyond the game itself.
“The highlight of my year has honestly been playing with the girls I met,” said Macias. “It has been such an amazing experience and I feel so lucky to have them not just as teammates but friends as well.”
Although the Lady Raiders have been bringing the heat all season long, freshman Caitlin Vinyard acknowledged that the team will have an extra push when it comes to the playoffs.
“I think we will play a little harder in the playoffs because we’ve been working so hard all season especially at practice,” said Vinyard. “From the beginning of the season our goal has been to make it to state and it’s so close so I think we’re gonna play that much harder because it’s within our reach now.”
As the Lady Raiders prep for the playoffs they have high hopes of being state bound.
