Locally Grown 3, headlining Mason Jennings, is the latest of a series of concerts to support the Ojai Valley Food For Thought, a non-profit organization.
The concert will be held at Libbey Bowl in Ojai on Saturday, June 20, from 5 to 10 p.m.
Food For Thought is a diverse group of volunteers working with Ojai’s public schools to provide learning opportunities for students.
“We seek to nurture an awareness of food and its relationship to health, society and the environment,” said the Locally Grown media kit.
Food For Thought also works with Ojai Unified School District to support school gardens, farm field trips, waste reduction, nutrition education and fresh, locally grown produce in public schools.
Mason Jennings released his sixth album, “In the Ever,” last year on Jack Johnson’s Brushfire record label, the Locally Grown media kit states.
Jennings “draws from the Minnesota rock scene, Comes a Time-era Neil Young and his favorite band, Led Zeppelin – all channeled through acoustic guitars,” the media kit quotes from Rolling Stones magazine.
