The Lady Raiders walked away with two huge wins, 7-0 and 11-1, in their double header against Allan Hancock college on Tuesday, Mar. 15.
With these two victories Moorpark has a 13-3 overall record and a 3-0 conference record.
Freshman Caitlin Vinyard played a huge role in both games as she pitched and had eight strikeouts in the first game, and struck-out three in five innings in the second game.
The Lady Raiders continue to see success and, according to sophomore Allison Ramirez, they know how to work well together as a team.
“You could see the difference between Hancock and us,” said Ramirez. “We just look like a team and we were ready to win.”
Having chemistry is key to being a successful team which is why the Lady Raiders have been continuing to add to the win column.
Freshman Caitlin Vinyard emphasized on how they have a team bond unlike any other.
“We just take our chemistry and put it out on the field,” said Vinyard. “We are a big family and we just play really well.”
Despite having an impressive record freshmen Launa Jones is aware that they can continue to improve more and more.
“We work extremely hard at practices not only on our individual improvements, but our improvements as a team as well,” said Jones. “We take how we practice and apply that to games so we can win as a team.”
The Lady Raiders face another conference rival as they look to take on Cuesta College on Thursday, March 17.
