Moorpark College’s annual Career Week and Internship Expo goes virtual for Spring 2021 semester

This week Moorpark College’s Career and Transfer Center will welcome students to its’ annual Career Week from March 1-5. This is an opportunity for students to connect with real companies for great opportunities.

Career Week teaches students career awareness, exploration, preparation and training. Students can explore different career paths, industries and companies.

A schedule for the week can be found on the Moorpark College website, as well as below along with links where you can register for the zoom meeting.

Monday, March 1: Resume Rally – FREE Drop-In! Get help starting your resume and have it reviewed by DOR Staff, Student Volunteers, & Job Developer. 8:30 A.M – 2:00 P.M. Zoom/Attendify

Monday, March 1: Teaching Social Justice – Navigating the Deep Waters of Equity In Early Education from 4:00 P.M – 6:00 P.M – ZOOM Link

Tuesday, March 2: Career & Internship Expo – 9:00 A.M – 1:00 P.M – Zoom/Attendify

 

Tuesday, March 2: Entertainment Industry Panel + Networking 6:00 P.M – 7:30 P.M – Zoom/Attendify

Wednesday, March 3: Student Alumni Health Industry Panel Forum – 10:00 A.M – 11:30 A.M – Zoom/Attendify

Thursday, March 4: Career Education Day – 9:30 A.M – 12:45 P.M – Zoom/Attendify

Friday, March 5: Phi Theta Kappa Induction Ceremony – 4:00 P.M – 5:30 P.M – Zoom/Attendify

 

 

 

 

“Prepare your professional portfolio, expand your professional network, develop professionally, investigate company culture and build relationships with real recruiters,” stated Interim President of Moorpark College Julius Sokenu in an email sent out to students.

Employers and the community can also participate in Career Week by getting involved with the students by providing a list of job opportunities, giving back to the school community as well as recruiting and hiring students.

The 2021 career and internship expo registration is now open. Each day offers something different including learning about Social Justice one day, Entertainment on the next and lastly the Health Industry.
